La Herencia from Honduras is a testament to the next generation of coffee craftsmanship, rooted in mentorship and driven by passion. Produced by Geovany, a young farmer who began his coffee journey alongside his father and renowned producer Nahún Fernández, this lot represents a heartfelt gesture of trust. In 2022, Nahún dedicated a plot of land to Geovany, solidifying a partnership founded on respect and shared vision.

Cherries for this lot undergo a honey fermentation process, being sealed whole in bags for 96 hours before de-pulping. The parchment is then carefully solar-dried for 15 days in parabolic dryers, with hand-sorting at every stage to ensure precision and quality. The result is a cup that is clean, sweet, and beautifully layered.

Geovany’s ambition is to grow within the specialty coffee world, not only to improve his family's livelihood but also to one day own his own farm.

Each bag represents his commitment to stability, growth, and excellence. With a light body and medium acidity, this coffee offers notes of pear, yellow stone fruit, honey, complemented by a delicate sweet citric aroma.
