About Bolivia Loa & Quillaquillani

Bolivian Loa & Quillaquillani by 4 Llamas is a showcase of clarity and control, an elegant filter coffee that pays tribute to the roots of 4 Llamas’ fermentation craft. Grown at 1,700 MASL in the high-altitude terrains of Loa & Quillaquillani, this lot represents one of the first experimental processes that helped define the producer’s refined approach.

At the heart of this coffee is a custom-designed concrete fermentation system, engineered by 4 Llamas and inspired by techniques from the world of fine wine. These tanks support clean, lactic-driven anaerobic fermentation, enabling both precision and consistency while bringing structure and balance to the final cup. This method has since become the cornerstone for evaluating new varietals, as it reveals the purity of each coffee’s genetic expression.

This coffee also reflects the broader mission behind 4 Llamas, a project led by Andrés and Marita, who returned to Bolivia to strengthen its coffee sector from the ground up. Through sustainable farming and innovative fermentation, they blend science and social impact. With each experimental lot, they aim to raise quality, increase producer income, and bring lasting improvements to their community.

The result is a refined, transparent cup that is both delicate and dynamic. A floral, lightly aromatic nose leads into tasting notes of jasmine, floral, and white peach. Its light body and medium acidity deliver a crisp, transparent cup that honours both the precision of the process and the character of its origin.

Subtle, structured, and unmistakably precise. Roasted for your filter coffee.

Morning Tracks

Before we turn on the coffee roaster in the morning, there's one thing we just can't go without.. music. We curated several playlists for you to enjoy while sipping. Some are perfect to relax and wind down, others can get a bit loud and noisy from time to time. Some have even been put together by the farmers we collaborate with.
